I tried to find this, couldn't find it in the article that named them. If I remember correctly it had to do with the players. I think that what happened was the players were asked to list 3 names and then somehow the NHL tabulated 3 players a side. I agree though. Some of these are rough. St. Louis is a great pick, and honestly I don't know enough about Kesler other than his olympic performance. But I do know that Green/Kane don't seem to exude the typical leadership qualities. I do recall something about one of the captains having to be a Dman per team.
