Anybody else wanna chime in on this?

I understand that his original comments were all "possibly" and potentially" and "let's see," but why would we suddenly have a team that can get us 10 more W's if we haven't done a damn thing to the roster?

Seems like he's just counting on all the lucky breaks to go our way.

Things will certainly need to break our way and I don't think we get 10 more but here are my arguments for 10 more wins.

- David Wright was hurt last year, he had shoulder troubles that he ignored and played through that clearly impacted his game. If he's healthier this year than last year his production will go up.

- Michael Cuddyer will produce far more than what we got out of left last year and will be a nice option at first when we face lefties.

- Matt Harvey. If this guy is 80% of what he was it'll add several wins to this team.

- The bullpen should be better. Everyone has more experience and we have a much better idea of what's there compared to last year where there was a ton of tinkering and adjusting.

- TDA, Flores and Lagares should all improve at the plate with more experience at the plate.

Plenty of ifs, guys can regress, guys can get hurt but at least on paper, what we know right now if everything goes how it should it could certainly happen.

Good stuff, Nasty...

No doubt Harvey is gonna be a big plus, but even when he was pitching his ass off, we lost so many of his games 2-0, or 3-1. Hope you are correct re: the offensive maturity of some of our young guys, including Duda. The pitching should be good again.

Just like every spring, I'm exited to see what we have. LGM.

Grando and wright having a bounce back could make this season interesting .
Ball pen better , let Flores play once and for all , Duda should be solid , TDA we will see what he truly is ,
Murph is murph hole we don't just let him walk away he is the blood and guts of this club .

Peace

I can see the amazins contending for and even getting a WC spot....but of course that's depending on overall team health, and maximizing production and opportunities. Collins really has to instill a no nonsense defensive fundamentals 1st approach to the entire team..but especially to the infielders. And please, no more brain cramps on running the bases. If they do all the little things the right way like they're supposed to be done....good things will be the result.

Let's Go Mets......Ya Gotta Believe.
