He's not to bad

After his 2nd half last year, I thought he'd break out this year. I thought he'd hit around .270/.360/.450 or something like that. He's batting .301/.379/.503 with an OPS+ around 148. He's also handled 3rd base very well. FWIW, WAR has him tied with Cano for 2nd in the AL at 7.2 (Trout's first at 8.6). I don't think him (or Cano) are having better years than Miggy, but they aren't far off IMO.

Donaldson's having a better year (offensively, at least) than Eric Chavez did. Kind of surprised.

I feel bad for the Mariners year after year. Honestly they have very loyal and good fans, a GREAT stadium (so jealous) and a few talented players.

The problem is leadership, like so many teams.

As a lifelong A's fan (37+ years) I would LOVE to have the Mariners stadium......what a great place to watch a game.

Thanks for the sympathy, lol. We also have one of the greatest pitchers of our generation being wasted. We have built up the farm system but it is really time for this organization to turn the corner and be competitive. Especially now when we are seeing the changing of the guard in this division. The A's have done it (congrats to them and their fans) and with the Angels seemingly looking at big changes and the Rangers slipping a little, all our young talent needs to start performing on the field.

This will sound strange coming from an A's fan, but I hope Seattle turns it around. I live in Portland and I love going up to Seattle for games, the fans are fun and the stadium rocks. I like it a lot better when both teams are doing well.

CJ Wilson was filthy all night long. I don't think anyone on the Mariners should be embarrassed about that loss. I couldn't believe how good his command was the whole night. I know it's only one game, but nonetheless if he pitches like that consistently this year he will be in the Cy Young conversation.

I woke up the Mariners offense.

It is now 5-3 and they have runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs
