Rangers only 21 games out....Look out second half of season
How in the fuck is Seattle 20 over. 500 yet they are negative 1 in runs scored?
26-11 in one-run games will do it.
Seattle struggling entering the break.
Oakland now only 3 back
Will be interesting to see how the Oakland Seattle thing shakes out. Oakland no doubt is on their hottest run of the year and Seattle in their biggest slump. Could come down to the Trade Deadline in the next couple of weeks.
2-7 in their last 9 games -27 run differential. Obviously it wasn't high to begin with but they are having their worst stretch of the season.
FWIW, Fangraphs' projected standings project both the A's and Mariners to go 33-32 in the 2nd half. Mariners do have to play the Astros 13 more times (A's have only 6 games left). Oakland has more home games than away games as well (they played 52 on road vs 45 in 1st half). Mariners have played 1 more game on the road than at home.
Keep an eye on Jo Adell. He's 19 and he's hit .318/.369/.601 with 11 steals and 17 home runs between A and A+ this year for the Angels. There's a chance you could see him alongside Trout in 2020.
