Not sure any team is willing to pay what we want with there being uncertainty regarding Unrestricted and Restricted FA for McCarron next year. If they knew he was a restricted FA and could have him in their system for 2 years before worrying about another contract, we might get closer to t he 1st round + additional pick for McCarron that Brown is seeking. I think they saw how vital he was in that playoff run and playoff game to just give up on one of the best backup QB's in the business. A future starter with lots of potential.

I don't see the Dolphins getting fleeced by anyone for a QB. Matt Moore is a solid backup you can win games with in the short term and I'm guessing the worst case scenario for Tannehill is that he'll be ready by week 1 of 2018. They have a stopgap QB for 2017 and a long-term QB down the road.
Cutler makes a lot of sense there if Tanehill needs ACL surgery.
