He will be 33 in march.
He is on IR with a neck injury.

He's a dinosaur as far as RB's go. Cant block, cant catch...predictable in any lineup.

Done?

He should retire, but he probably won't. And the Cardinals won't bring him back because David Johnson will be healthy and AP apparently doesn't want to be a backup to anyone. But I bet the Giants will pay him a hefty amount to go there next year HAHA!

33 is old for a feature back, just like 40 is old for a starting Qb. They become brittle.

Last weeks game not withstanding... Brady would disagree with this statement.

Yeah I'd say he's done. David Johnson will be back in the saddle next season, he's likely not going to want to hang around for scraps/garbage time carries in Arizona, or anywhere else for that matter. Best course of action would be to gracefully bow out now

Now, Rock, with that out of the way, go cut me a cotdamned switch soI can light yer candy ass up!

He gone. The cards are officially down to 3rd stringers and several practice squad guys for the rest of the year. Next man up!

I think it’s funny that the cardinals practice squad beat both the Jags and Titans.

Kind of telling about the AFC South don’t ya think?

The sooner he retires, the sooner he should go to the HOF. Best back of his era.

You are correct.

The guy cares about 2 things: money and personal numbers. So he'll hang on until no team will have him. And he'll still be talking about how great he is and how he can still play until he's 40.

Plus, He's already defaulting on loans, which usually doesn't happen until a player's career is over.

Best runner, yes, by far. As far as overall backs go, he's not near the top. His vision, his receiving and his blocking were all average to below average to flat out bad and he was/is a fumbler.

So, for the time that Peterson was dominant, would you take any other running back over him? Not season to season.....I mean that good 10 year run or so?

You're correct, you have me there. I probably wouldn't because there was no other RB that was that dominant in one facet of the game. The guy almost broke the rushing record with Ponder as his QB.

I will say though, there is no consistent competition over that span for him. The position isn't what it once was. If he was playing 5 or 10 years earlier, I'm taking guys like Tomlinson and Faulk.
