They love him in Denver (not so much in Columbus)

Little known fact, his wife and kids remained here for another year. His son played on a team with my real estate agent's son.

Allegedly, he wanted to come back.

They would have killed him, but he wanted to come back.

Foote was a tough as nails battler with a great mind for defense. Also he moved like he was trying to skate across rough cement. Like Darrien Hatcher, his game was more suited for the pre-lockout era, but I'll always have fond memories of his epic battles with Brendan Shanahan. Have a good retirement Footey.

and if anyone saw what he got away with on his last shift...it was pretty hilarious (though in all fairness, peckham got away with something similar in the 3rd and the game was completely meaningless), great way for a player like him to go out

also, for those that were wondering, hejduk's already said he'll be back next year, so the avs get to keep somebody over the age of 12 around

I'll always remember how he neutralized Tkachuk in the 2001 playoffs. And by neutralized I mean date raped.

He nothing if not effective.

lol - I did see that. The announcer was having a foote-gasm.
"another hit, and another hit and another hit ....."

I counted a hold, a hit, a series of crossckecks, another hold, a bunch of slashes.
then he might have fallen on the guy. :D

Heh he really did, but there's no way either ref was going to be responsible for Foote's career coming to and end sitting in the box!
