Utley, Kinsler, Pedroia, Altuve, Cano, they can't all get in.

Cano will, then maybe one of the others. Splitting hairs deciding who is second to RC imo.

Yeah I think it’s the post season resume that gives MadBaum the edge right now.

If Morris can eventually get in. MadBaum is set up nicely.
As a Giants fan, I say Bum is not in yet. His post season heroics gives him the tie breaker (plus some), but he still has a big hill to climb.

And I don’t want to use the Morris comparison because I don’t believe he should be in.

Pedroia will need to hit the 3,000 hit mark, not sure how close he is, but he's a guy that will need to reach a benchmark, without it I don't think anyone sees him as a HOF player

I believe Craig Kimbrel will get in

29 years old and already 300+ saves , career 1.80 ERA and 16K/9IP

My thought as well, but he'll need to play well and accumulate saves at his current pace for another 1/2 dozen years to get in in my opinion.

How is Lee Smith not in the HOF?

Pedroia has hit the wall and is no longer a top tier player. He isn't getting in without buying a ticket.

Kinda agree, couple years ago he was a sure bet to cruise past 3000 hits

O I definitely don’t think bumgsrner should be in now. Was just talking with him and Harper so far.

And I agree about Morris, that said he did eventually get in. Which is huge for guys like Bumgarner who don’t have the cy Young’s and what not.

Cuz closers don't need to be considered all time greats anymore than kickers.

Btw John Hiller > Lee Smith.

Once he's a Yankee and puts a few more trophies and postseason MVP's on the mantle, he will be locked in

You know my love for Hiller!!! but ERA and ERA+ doesn't show you everything with relievers... and the thing about closers, is that even though you might say that 7th inning has more difficulty than many 9th innigns they pitch in, there is still something to closing out a game... the difficulty is still something that has been shown by the fact that so many cant do it and not consistently...

And generally the closer is the teams best Bullpen arm for a reason...

That micro-fracture injury to his knee really put a damper on a fine career. At 34 years old and still struggling to return as a full time player I think we Red Sox fans will be fortunate to see him return to just being pretty good. His MVP candidate days are all gone IMO.

You become a big Lee Smith fan all of a sudden? Lol

I could've put a lot of guys(a few) where I put Hiller.

I just wanted to be a homer is all.

Lock.

Two lefties with more Ks. Two.

And they aren't black Americans. No reason he shouldn't be in. Plenty of reasons he should be.

Re-inventing himself from power pitcher to finesse, change speeds type of pitcher one of his more impressive feats. Guy added years to his career
