1. Virginia Tech(1)
1-0 (0-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
- stomped a good Appalachian State team that may be better than some of the teams actually in the ACC. The defense looked dominant, and the offense moved the ball. It was 52-0 with a little over 2 minutes gone in the 3rd quarter

2. Florida State(2)
1-0 (0-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
-a little slow on offense to start, but the Noles handled ULL with ease and won convincingly. The defense was dominant.

3. Maryland(3)
1-0 (1-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
-although Maryland did all they could to hand Miami a win, they held tight and walked away with a win. Outside of the red zone, their offense moved with ease. Inside of the red zone their play calling was horrific. The defense looked alright but Miami moved it with ease at some points.

4. Clemson(6)
1-0 (0-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
-Clemson let Troy hang around for a bit but in the end won convincingly. Tajh Boyd had a good first outing but the Clemson defense did not look good at all.

5. Virginia(10)
1-0 (0-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
-A young Virginia team surprised a lot of people (especially those in Vegas) by thoroughly drubbing a good William & Mary team. London is playing a lot of kids and they seem to be taking to it well. Next week will be a bigger test for sure with Indiana on the slate.

6. Georgia Tech(9)
1-0 (0-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
-Western Carolina is not a good football team, but GT still managed to rack up almost 700 yards against them, including over 300 through the air. Stiill, the defense allowed three touchdowns in the first half.

7. North Carolina(8)
1-0 (0-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
-Bryn Renner looked fantastic in his debut, and the offense as a whole played well. The defense looked very good as well, but a little susceptible to the big play. An overall good performance by the Heels.

8. NC State(6)
1-0 (0-0)
5 wins from bowl eligibility
-NC State let Liberty hang around with them for a while and Mike Glennon looked average. Also, a supposedly decent defense gave up over 400 to an alright Liberty offense.

9. Miami(5)
0-1 (0-1)
6 wins from bowl eligibility
-Miami looked thoroughly over matched for large portions of their game against Maryland and the game was only close because of Maryland's ineptness in the red zone. They took terrible penalties, bit on every fake, got beaten up and Stephen Morris was a turnover machine. Sloppy.....

10. Boston College(4)
0-1 (0-0)
6 wins from bowl eligibility
-I may have been wrong about BC. Their offense played well but their defense was abysmal and I figured that would be their strength. A backup quarterback and good running game were able to beat the Eagles.

11. Wake Forest (12)
0-1 (0-0)
6 wins from bowl eligibility
-The Demon Deacons blew a fourth quarter, two score lead to a basketball team. Only Duke's loss to an FCS school keeps them from the bottom.

12. Duke (11)
0-1 (0-0)
6 wins from bowl eligibility
- Kiss a bowl appearance good bye :L

1.* Florida State 1-0 (0-0)
- Easily beat a team they should have. They're #1 based on talent and experience combination. Vs. Oklahoma will provide separation.

1.* Virginia Tech 1-0 (0-0)
- Same as FSU. The only thing they lack is equal experience, which is filled in by potential and coaching.

3. Maryland 1-0 (1-0)
- Clown uniforms. Otherwise, Maryland looks like they might be able to compete with the top two. Missing VT in season helps.

4.* Clemson 1-0 (0-0)
- Solid in first game.

4.* North Carolina 1-0 (0-0)
- Solid in first game.

6. Georgia Tech 1-0 (0-0)
- Lots of offense, but some fumble issues, continuing from last season. Future Unknown.

7. Miami 0-1 (0-1)
- Same old Miami. Talent vs Mistakes

8. Virginia 1-0 (0-0)
- Lots of positives from their young guys. Still, they are in foundation building mode.

9. North Carolina State 1-0 (0-0)
- Honestly, didn't watch at all. Heard unimpressive reviews, including very bad pass defense, and offensive line play.

10. Boston College 0-1 (0-0)
- Missing Harris

11. Wake Forest 0-1 (0-0)
- Missing Coaching

12. Duke 0-1 (0-0)
- Missing Basketball

1- FSU- Solid all the way around
2- VT- Same as FSU
3- UNC- Played a solid game against a good FCS team.
4- Maryland- Only ugly part of this team is their uniforms.
5- Clemson- Struggled early, but rolled over Troy.
6- GT- Solid offense as usual, but typical Al Groh defense is a joke
7- Miami- Played well considering the talent they were missing.
8- UVa- Same as Clemson, except against the top FCS team.
9- NC State- Should have let Wilson come back for one more year.
10- BC- QB play will be the fall of this team.
11- Wake- Grobe can only do so much with so little talent.
12- Duke- Cutcliffe better cut bait and take a better job ASAP.
