Tom Brady is reportedly deflated by the news. Supposedly Bill Belichick had also stopped by to encourage Hernandez to hang in there.

NFL memes "Injury update: Aaron Hernandez (neck) out indefinitely"

I normally just browse threads, but man I had to log on just to give this a winner. I about died of laughter.

I grew up knowing many like him. Hernadez had a way out of that lifestyle but chose to keep living it even with a 40 mil contract in hand. I just feel bad for the little girl. A murderer for a dad and an obviously messed up mother who stuck by a killer.

He never had to live with it. He grew up in a house with a mom and dad in middle class Bristol, Connecticut. He didn't grow up surrounded by gangs and murder. He befriended the guys who lived that life.

That is what I really don't get. Both his parents worked, he had an older brother who showed him the path to success, a father who taught that nothing is given to you, if you want something you have to work for it. He puts in the work, gets the monster contract where he'd never have to worry about money again and instead, he plays New Jack City with his gangster friends.

What a complete waste.

I just read he had a 4 year old daughter. As the parent of a boy who will turn 4 in less than a month -- I despise Aaron Hernandez even more. That child didn't get to choose her parents and now will never have a relationship with her father.

I honestly hope that little girl is put in a good home with loving parents. No 4 year old should be put in a situation like this.
Guy was always going to be behind bars. By killing himself the Lloyd conviction goes away like it didn't happen and the family may be able to get some of that money from the contract he signed.

Interesting twist, I heard that because he had an appeal still making it's way through the courts when he died, he's actually now considered not guilty of his murder charge because the charge wasn't finished in court. Which then complicates certain issues for the victim's family, like restitution money, and insurance things with his wife/kid.

In wake of suicide, Aaron Hernandez conviction will be voided - The Boston Globe

Yup. Insanely stupid provision, but Massachusetts is a really fucking stupid state.
