My point being that JD had a nice run as GM that ended a few years ago. The trades he has made and the contracts he has signed have been absolutely awful in recent years.

I know people worship the guy but the fact is he's become one of the worst GMs in baseball. Knowing the Ranger Rebuild is on his watch is terrible news for us unless he suddenly gets a heck of a lot better at his job.
