A quick glance at the Boise State 2017 Schedule/It doesn't look pretty/need help with this one

Truthfully I don't know much about the history of the game prior to the mid 80s. My first memory was being glued to the TV with my family when Flutie connected with Phalen. I was seven. I've been hooked ever since.

W Troy - I thought they folded the football program.
L @Washington State - No way they stop the Leach offense.
W New Mexico - I flipped a coin and it came up Boise
L Virginia - Upgrading the schedule will hurt Boise/Loss no doubt about it.

L @BYU - Another coin toss but it's at BYU so Boise loses a close one.
L @ San Diego State - Again, another close road loss.
W Wyoming - I got nothing.
L @ Utah State - They always seem tough
W Nevada - Are these guys still something/don't think so
L @ Colorado State - Boise will just be a bad road team.
W Air Force - I like the AF Academy but they won't pull it out.
W @ Fresno State - Boise splits the fake States series and pulls this one out.

Boise goes 6-6
They go 1-5 in away games.
Harsin is immediatly elevated to "Hot Seat" status.

I just don't get a good vibe with this.

A long time ago, but a special moment in time for our program against a storied program like OU.

I'll take the bait. Losses at Washington State, at BYU, at San Diego State, and at home (again) to Air Force. 8-4 without a conference title for the third year in a row and a decent chance at no division title either. And all that said I wouldn't completely rule out a 6-6 disaster either as stated by OP.

Pisses me off. From being one of the best teams in the entire nation to quickly becoming a middling Group of Five team. That's the reality though. We can shitcan Harsin and that's fine but with Petersen gone and the widening gap between the have and have nots it likely won't make a difference. Such is life as a Group of five.

Worst part is our entire division around us has made a ton of progress while we've been slowly rolling our way down a hill

The supporting cast is a huge issue, most of the teams in the Mountain West have decent offensive lines, yet our offensive line has sucked dick every game after the last Fiesta bowl win and to top it all off you bastards took our offensive line coach

Not much since then. Only two top five finishes in the nation, five top 10s, and seven top 16s. Fiesta Bowl champs over #3 TCU and #10 Arizona.

It's not easy no matter who you are to run the table against any schedule. If it were the 128 FBS teams would be doing it a lot more often whether they be a Power 5 or Group of 5. And yes that includes Alabama, the best team in the entire country.

I think I enjoyed seeing Utah kick their ass even more than seeing Clemson take them down in last season's classic. They are so incredibly good but the arrogance of some of their fans is just unbearably sickening.
