A damn shame that a supposed REAL Tiger fan like doug, has no clue how to discuss baseball as it relates to the Detroit Tigers. If doug had been a real Tiger fan and at least VISITED the Tiger forum on SportsHoopla, he would know the opinions and desires of myself and other Tiger fans on the CF subject. I suggested signing Peter Bourjos (cheap) at one point. Others wanted to spend more. Some wanted to role the dice with the "riff-raff" (my view) they have collected.

What is your take on a possible Mahtook/Collins centerfield combo, doug? I'm not excited about it.

You might have missed this one @dougplayer. Also, Howie and broncosmitty are concerned with the bullpen. Tigers didn't change much there. Do you think Joe Jimenez might be a sleeper? I know smitty is predicting a big season for Rondon and I'm seeing Mejica as a sleeper.

As for Chris Illitch selling the team. Do you think he may wait until next year - after the new hockey arena is opened? No need to take publicity away from that with a bunch of talk about selling the Tigers. Unless you think the young Illitch will sell the team right away????
I could see the Illitch family bringing in new faces into the organization....kind of a sweeping out dad's old crew and getting young, fresher faces involved.
