That MVP year was Lebron's first in Miami. I remember ESPN releasing an article a while back looking at guys who won MVPs over who really should've won it. Lebron should've been MVP in 2010. It didn't really matter, later on Lebron stuffed D-Rose to seal a trip to the NBA finals with the Heat.

It is funny you mention those teams, because really from the time Jordan retired until the Celtics put together their big 3, the East was significantly worse than it is now. The only champion was the Pistons and their were some pretty mediocre teams advancing to the Finals.

The Allan Houston/LJ Knicks as an 8 seed? The Cav, 6er and Magic teams already mentioned?That Kidd Nets team might be the worst finalist in the modern era. They really weren't very good.
