The combined score of the last 2 Iowa Nebraska games... in case anyone forgot
Not the Nebraska people who paid for tickets. I can tell you that much
Washington has outscored Oregon 108 - 24 in the past two years.
The combined score of the last 2 Iowa Nebraska games... in case anyone forgot
Poll failDamn.
Can’t even beat Iowa.
Man the 20th century was great times.... phones in a bag, pron chicks still had bushes, Nebraska was good at football. Memories . Just think kids who are graduating high school this year can't remember a season when Nebraska finished in the top 10. Crazy29-16, overall record between Nebraska and Iowa.
798-624, combined scores of all games. Someone had to feed you baby birds.
If we are going to be forced rivals, we have to make things more even. Unfortunately, that requires that Nebraska HAS to lose... A LOT.

TldrMan, you are certainly right about that. The 20th century was good to Nebraska. Only had 19 seasons below .500 for the entire century. Won 5 (claimed) national titles. 3 Heisman winners. I mean... I could obviously go on, but I don't want to brag about my team. What did Iowa do in the 20th century?
In the entire century... Iowa had 45 seasons below .500... um wait, we didn't want that. We want to talk good about Iowa. Iowa has one national championship in that timeframe in 1958 where they went 8-1-1. That isn't recognized by the AP, because they gave the award to LSU who went 11-0 but who's keeping track. As a matter of fact, the FWAA was the only one that recognized Iowa for their only claimed national title. They have one Heisman winner, that's a plus.
Geez, that's not all that great, but let's get to the heart of your post.
For sure. 2001 was the last time Nebraska finished in the top 10, you remember that don't ya? We went to the national title game where we were blown up by an all-star Miami team. I figured you would remember, because Iowa was at home by then watching.
There is no doubt that this past decade...hell, past 14 years have been Nebraskas worst since the 1960's. There is also no doubt that this has been Iowa's best football in the same timeframe or at least since the 80's, but I would say overall. So, let's be fair. Let's check things out for the past 14 years and see how they stack up.
Iowa
111 - 68 That is impressive for Iowa, isn't it. Now let's look at Nebraska since this has been our worst since the 1960's. Total games played = 179.
Nebraska
112 - 69 Wow, in the worst timeframe for Nebraska since the 1960's, we still managed to have more wins. Total games played = 181. But let's be fair here. We also have one more loss, what does this all mean?
Well, it looks like we still managed to play in more conference championship games (you know that extra data point), This is significant since Nebraska missed out on 3 bowl appearances in this timeframe and Iowa only missed out on 2.
Looks like going forward we will have to rely on these things....
Or these....
Iowa has some of those crystal football thingies right?
Oh Wait, no, no they don't.
