Winning a natty at Arkansas is an unbelievable accomplishment and deserves respect.

The games between Broyles and Coach Royal were probably the best the Arkansas-Texas series ever had. A lot of fans didn't like him as an AD or the way he handled the Nolan Richardson exit, but he really developed the fanbase and we wouldn't be in the SEC today if not for him.

When my dad moved to Fayetteville during his last two years of high school he lived on on the same street as Frank Broyles while he was still the head coach at Arkansas.

He was the first great coach that Arkansas ever had.

He established Arkansas. Holtz and Hatfield carried on and since 1990
it's become a barely above 500 program.

He was a classic as an announcer. You could learn a thing or two about football
listening to him.

Always enjoyed him and Bud Wilkinson as color guys. Wilkinson would have that table
with little football figures on it and explain plays all during halftime.

Yeah the way he built up the fanbase and upgraded the facilities to what they have become today is pretty amazing for such a small state. Who knows what conference we would be in now if not for him. I didn't always agree with everything he did as an AD but he really loved Arkansas and had to leave games even after he retired because he got so nervous during them lol

92 is a hell of a run. RIP. Probably better off now given he was in hospice care.
