For larger companies that can afford the insurance overhead it's a no brainer. Shelled out 75k for the insurance and sold 1.7 mil of product, not to mention all the crazy free publicity. The insurance company probably feels like it got punched in the gut tho

I was watching SportsCenter this morning and they mentioned this story and when they said the window company was going to have to refund $1.7MM, there was a collective groan from the sportscasters and one said, "oh, that poor company." Then they mentioned the insurance policy and they all cheered.
