Giants spot Blach to a 4 run lead in the first. Kind of like they did for Shark.

Amy G said Cain is officially a bullpen guy for the foreseeable future. Stratton is now in the rotation.

Ryder Jones with his first ML RBI

And Belt with a 2 run jack right after, to match his career season high with 18

The As are doing a fine job of imitating the Giants tonight's.

OK for you stats geeks....Crawford just made a great play, leaping way up to rob someone of a line drive no doubt single to left. When the numbers are run on Blach, FIP and BABIP and all that, does that ball being hit hard for what should have been a single count against him or is an out an out or what?

I don't fully understand FIP, but I think it takes placement and mph off the bat into account. So I would assume that would have been a negative for Blach.

:noidea:

Blach goes deep! And a no doubter to direct center

This pitcher blows of course. One reason why pitching beats hitting in the playoffs, is hitters rack up stats in these kinds of meaningless blowouts against bad teams.

Clearly Moncrief has to take charge there, but a vet gold-glover was CLEARLY calling for it. Hard for the rook to take it in that situation.

Just in time to submarine our draft position...

#1 picks don't matter that much, top 5 is what counts IMO. I think we're a lock for that.
