Game Thread: 8/19/17 Two awful teams

Why bother with the lineup? All I have to say is that Gearrin has struck again. Please non tender him FO and strongly reprimand Bochy for continuing to use him in baserunner situations. He is smarter than that.

The Giants are at least trying to keep it close with the Phillies . . . in the standings.

1) The Giants couldn't get any runs home with the bases loaded and one out.

2) Span "missed" an easy fly ball to center that fell six feet in front of him. Krukow kept saying things about not seeing the ball in the twilight. Funny, it hasn't effected the Phillie CF.

3) Osich is garbage. We really, really, really, really need a solid LH reliever. I hope Smith comes back strong, but we may need another LH reliever. The two "O's" have been awful this season.

4) Why, why, why put in Gearrin with RISP? He's a gas can. He's now allowed 19 of 33 inherited runners to score (58%). Does Noggin have a learning disability here? We all see it, why doesn't he?

Giants Baseball 2017 cannot end soon enough.

I am not watching this game, but seriously, it is no longer Gearin's fault. Boch is submarining the rest of the staff and their numbers by putting him into situations he is clearly not good in. Gearin looks like he may be useful in clean situations.

Gearrin can take his 2.19 ERA and his 58% IR scored somewhere else. Or maybe the PTB's will look at his ERA and sign him to an extension.

I expect him to be on the 2018 roster but hope he is not. He's probably the first reliever with a sub 3 ERA that I don't want back on the team.

Apparently, Bochy wanted to hasten Osich's demise. Don't get me wrong, the dude has been awful , but it seems like Gearrin has bumped his ERA at least a full run over the season.
