You get a team full of 30+ players and players with injury histories, you know injuries will be a thing. The “what if...” or “If only...” story is not allowed.

Mac's concussion injury was not a matter of age, and perhaps hurt the most. We survived all the other injuries because there were players who almost did the same things. Mac was the only power bat in the lineup, and he was hitting well. Bum's injury was just unfortunate, and age had nothing to do with it.

Still, your larger point is valid, and it is an older team.

I am somewhat heartened that instead of rescuing 30+ year old vets from the scrap heap, some of the additions have been young: DRod, Hansen, Slater, Duggar, Suarez.

D'Arnaud is 31. Black is 28.

I don’t see Hundley getting anything. He got shoved and punched TWICE and never raise his arms arms in an offensive manner. If anything, he gets suspension days banked for a future infraction.

Puig has a history, so I think the conversation STARTS at 5 games.

To be fair Hundley was kind of why it happened. And that might have been on purpose.

Who knows what was said, but Hundley remained in the crouch until Piggy started bowing up on him. Once Piggy bowed up, I am sure Hundley said things to advance, but he never did anything physically to advance the situation. Puig bowed up, added to the situation verbally, AND escalated it into the physical.

I was just surprised Bum and Puig didn’t end up facing off. And Bum was definitely out there in the scrum.

I think by now its clear Puig really doesn't want any part of Bum. or anyone really. he never gets really tough until theres people in between.

How so? Once they tied it I didn't think our lollygagging bats could score again. And I was wrong, barely (if Hernandez doesn't double clutch Belt is out at home)

Your obsessions don't change the facts on the field. This team's hitting is worse than its pitching and that's simply true. I wonder how it would have gone if they had even 50 games of the whole team healthy in the same lineup.
