I'm really starting to think Verlander's cooked. Seems he doesn't have the ego -- or lack thereof -- to learn to pitch without a 99mph fastball.

Yeah, I got a few innings and watched the compressed game on MLB.tv

Two things: Matheny almost screwed up another win and the Cards are twice as good as the next-best team in baseball.

I intensely dislike the Cards (but respect the hell outta them) and just don't see any way they get derailed, especially if they add another piece or two.
