Teams with as many needs as the Lions should never get a RB in the 1st round in today's NFL. You can get a RB in the latter rounds, an elite LB, DT, RT or LG is much more rare.

I think Cook & Fournette would be exceptions to that rule.

Thomas had a crazy good rookie year.

92 receptions 1137 yards 9 TD's.

The most impressive stats is the 92 receptions.

He was 9th in the league in yards, receptions and 20+ yard catches.
He was also tied for 6th in TD's.

It definitely worked out for him that he fell. He could have been stuck with Brock Osweiler, Sam Bradford, or one of the 19 different Browns QBs had he gone in the first

I think the Cowboys showed this year just how much of a difference an elite RB can make to an offense. They were even starting a rookie QB and they were one of the best teams in the NFL. It looks like Detroit has a pretty solid OL themselves, so adding someone like Fournette or Cook could completely change the dynamic of that offense. It opens up a tremendous amount when you have a real running threat, which Detroit hasn't had in some time.

He's going in the late 1st per most mocks. Tabor is anywhere from top 10 to late 20 but more consistently ahead of Marshon. Wilson is ahead of both, What are you talking about?

3 went the first day and possibly 3 more could go today. Elflein, Samuel, or McMillan could all get picked up today or none at all. Whoever drafts Curtis Samuel is going to end up being very happy IMO
