Strick- one out, two walks, three hits, three runs allowed (so far).

Sad

Well, it's his worst outing of the season. Never fun. But unavoidable once in a while. Poop.

Watson puts out the fire.

Part of me was hoping he'd give up a homer just to put us out of our misery, and inflate Strick's ERA.

What a crappy performance by Strick. Awful.

Why do you take this stuff so personally?

Yeah he may not have the stones to be a closer

I've always thought it's dumb that the 9th has been treated any differently and that there's a certain mentality to it. This didn't exist until the 70s when they adopted the save, and it really wasn't a big deal until they started monetizing it.

But the reality is that right now it's true, and it's still dumb. Just another reason to get rid of the save.

So I begrudgingly agree that Strickland doesn't have it in his head to be a closer (even though it shouldn't matter)

Well that was the definition of a gutpunch loss. One of 70....one of 70....one of 70....

Mad? Sad? Indifferent?

He made a point of walking towards third base and sharing his thoughts with Brinson, who was a little showy when he hit the go-ahead run. Strick also buzzed him with a fastball earlier in the AB

Just a bad look for Strickland to be chirping when he was generally awful on the mound

The first one I believe. Which is good. Let's hope it's the last.

Damn

Just a pathetic, garbage loss to begin the homestand.

Too bad Strickland was more focused on Brinson's reaction rather than not pitching like absolute trash. If he didn't want Brinson to celebrate that hit, he should have put him away with the count at 1-2.

Well, that game sucked. Here is to tomorrow, may it look much different (better different).

Unfortunately, Straily is starting for Miami tomorrow. The Giants have made him look like a career All-Star.
