Gorkys! He was useful!

Seriously though, nice AB. You know they were gonna walk Belt and bring up the pitcher. It all rested on Gorkys there. First blown save of the season for Holland

When the Giants are bad, Coors Field games are fun because they don't matter. I had forgotten that.

Doesn't look like he will have the opportunity.

Strick going at least 1?

Any word on Posey's injury?

Realistically, though, I am more concerned about Nunez. Posey can sit the year. I am ok with that. But Nunez needs to be traded. He needs to stay healthy.

Probably shouldn't have brought in Strickland on 3 straight days....
League has kinda left the Giants blowing in the wind here. The Giants have been waiting a couple days for word for the league office, and they just haven't told the Giants what's up.

I would assume that Nunez is definitely going to the DL. Who gets called up?

I figure there are 3 possibilities...

1) Hwang. He is the long shot, because he would require a 40-man move as well. But if the Giants want to keep him, he needs to be added soon anyway.

2) Arroyo. If Posey did not get hurt on the very next play, this likely would have been the call. But I think it will be...

3) Brown. He has had a horrendous season, but he is a catcher. And Posey will be down for even 1 game, they will need a backup catcher. Maybe he only is activated for a couple games.

Good question. Hwang seems unlikely for the reasons you mentioned. However, Arroyo has a minor injury. Its not bad enough, from what I've read here, that he requires time on the dl but I do wonder if that will also prevent him from being called up. I have to wonder, then, if Brown becomes a casualty on the 40 man to call up either Hwang, or I think, more likely Ryder Jones.

Edit: I write all this and then remember that Conor Gillaspie has been on a rehab assignment for a bit now. I have to think he gets activated.
