People on twitter who mentioned "sportsmanship" when he left the court with 20 seconds left. That could only mean they wanted Lebron to hang around and shake hands with the Pacers after game 1 of a playoffs series lol
Or, they expected him to walk out WITH his team in show of support regardless of the end result of the game.

They had better eat a lot of spinach then and become like Popeye the sailor

Man.....it's 1 game. You think they're going to do that 3 more times in this series? You're asking for Wiggy to come at you in the fullness.

How many times have you seen a healthy player walk off the court before the final buzzer?

I will just ignore him - but I just might have jumped onto the Indiana Pacers fan even though that puts me on the same side as hurricanethenutjob

My point here is that the Pacers played exactly the way they want to on Saturday. Slow pace defensive minded game. I don't think they will be able to do that repeatedly against the Cavs but that is a concern for the Cavs.
THIS. They went into game 1 defensive minded & it paid dividends for them.

Nope, no holding hands or singing necessary. But, for a team with obvious divide him walking out with them instead of making them feel even more divided might have been good for team morale.

I have seen a few shake hands or hug each other after a game, but not all of them. I have never seen all of them stick around to shake hands or give high fives to all of them like they make the kids do in LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL OR with really small kids in the PONY LEAGUE. The players are required to stick around for interviews though in some cases which is the reason LeBron didn't do that ONE TIME ONLY BEFORE HE WENT TO MIAMI.

It seems like to me that some one is looking for something in a dirt pile of nothing

Zeke Thomas back in '91 when MJ finally got past the Pistons?:noidea:
One in the last 25 years? I remember when Isiah Thomas (and his teammates) walked off the court before the final buzzer in 1991. Not sure who Zeke Thomas is, is he Isiah's son?

Why say only going back 25 years now? In your other 2 comments on this page (504 & 508) you made no mention of any timeline. You just said you wanted a few examples. Okay here's another one, although even older that what the Pistons did to the Bulls. In '88 pretty sure the Celtics walked off the court against the Pistons.

Exactly, and it was frowned upon back then too. So much so he was passed over for the Olympics dream team - which he's still salty about to this day.

Great game by the Pacers. Poor game by the Cavs.

But it's not quite sky is falling time yet. Worrisome? Yes. Panic time? Nope.

Fair enough, so you "are pretty sure that the Celtics walked off the court" before the final buzzer in 1988. I don't remember that.

In the early 80's didn't Zeke firmly stick his foot in his mouth by saying if Bird was black he would have just been another basketball player? Pretty sure he either said that or something close.

Now if they lose game 2, panic button will be pushed.

If that happens then Lebron may have played his last home game in Cleveland

I don't know for sure, but sounds like something he would've said. All I know is outside of the bad boy pistons none of the other stars wanted to play with him in the Olympics - especially MJ.
