These losses that are piling up wouldn't be so bad if we were still getting points, but we're losing most all of them in regulation by the fewest of margins.

Yes, we still control our own destiny, but only by a tiebreaker and some games in hand. If NJ and Florida win their games in hand, we will be trailing both of them in points.

Our only solace is a tiebreaker edge over Columbus for theoretically the last playoff spot and as we've seen, they are rolling along right now.

If we just do what we've done all season long, we should be able to turn this thing around and make the playoffs comfortably. By that, I mean break this losing streak and immediately start a winning streak...Lol

The Pens, Caps and Devils aren't exactly lighting the world on fire. If we start streaking the other way now or soon, we will stay ahead of one or two of them.

Yup. I agree we are toast and my question here is how in the fucking world can't this underachieving team not hold a 13 pt cushion? Will Hextall have the sack to fire Hakstol for this epic meltdown? There is no excuse. This fanbase deserves better results. For years it's been the same damn BS movie over and over.

Lets hope we get back to winning and nobody gets fired.

Not sure where the breakdown is, Mrazek has looked like shit and the defense has looked like the fuckin keystone kop's at times? Sometimes it's cohesion, and then next total chaos. Also where is our battle on the boards? The physicality play has to pick up big time, To much playing in our own zone, our goalies aren't built for that.

Mrazek was a statue and we stunk around him. Giving up that 4th goal after we got it to 3-2 was embarrassing.

That 4th goal on Mrazek was putrid. That's a must-save IMO. Can't wait for Elliot to get back. Needed more from the rest of the team too though, no question. But at that time they were bringing more. They DOMINATED the first portion of the 2nd and then that goal broke their backs.

I thought i heard them say on the game last night that Elliot isn't expected back any time soon. Mrazek is a back up goalie. He can beat the lower level teams but not playoff contenders.

He used to be a 30 goal scorer with a mean streak and other players were scared to go near the boards when he was on the ice. Now he just plays like he a 100 point scorer.

Hes always been that way. He is a 30 goal scorer from being on our PP and getting tip ins and rebounds. Now he plays like hes Cindy Crysby.
