For example, Tarasenko > Schenn and it's not even close, but Schenn made the "All-Star" team ahead of him. Check their historical numbers out. Schenn has never put up these numbers until he was inserted between Schwartz and Tarasenko. Now that he's not on a line with them, he's struggling. Tarasenko? He's still humming along with 4 goals and 8 points in his last 7. Schenn? 1 goal in his last 15. You see a clear difference.

Apples to Apples. If he was playing on out top line this year he'd most likely be doing what Coots is.

Couturier: 25 goals in 43 games this season

Schenn: 25 goals in 79 games last season

Sean Couturier has elevated his game to another level that Schenn has only had wet dreams of. Schenn did all of his damage on the power play too, where Couturier has slid nicely into his spot, almost effortlessly even.

Not only that, he's $800k cheaper and signed for four additional seasons at that price.

Enormous win last night obviously. We did just about everything we could hope to do on the road except for taking all of those penalties. No Ghost = No problem. The special teams were solid regardless, our top guys showed up on the scoreboard and so did the secondary scoring. Giroux and Voracek are essentially at or above the level of anything we could possibly expect of them offensively. These guys are 2nd and 3rd in Nhl scoring. It's a beautiful thing.

A lack of discipline from everyone and some careless play by the rookies Patrick and Sanheim were the prevailing issues of this game for us, if any.

The lull at the end of the 3rd period left a bad taste in my mouth, but beating the Devils in their building to climb within four points of them and one point of a playoff spot is just priceless. With games in hand on Pitt, NYI and Car, we have the inside track to the playoffs as of this moment.

12-4-1 by my count since the 10 game losing streak. Not too shabby.

If we keep that pace for the remainder of the season, we would surpass my prediction of 101 points and definitely make the playoffs. This would probably be as a 2nd or 3rd seed in the division too instead of a wild card. Long way to go, but it's at least possible.

This division is so incredibly tight right now. You have 7 teams separated by 5 points. We can pass the Rangers with a win in their building tomorrow night and put the Isles and Canes in our rear view mirror too. We would then be within striking distance of everyone else minus the Caps too.

Our record vs. the East and the Metro is starting to become a strength for us. 10-5-4 and 3-1-4. Also, we're beginning to take control of the first tiebreaker, which is wins in regulation and OT.

I am impressed with our regulation win total. In the past we have not been competitive in that area. Please beat the Rags tonight!!!

Among defensemen in the NHL the Flyers have one in the top 10 in 5 categories

Hits- Hagg first
Points-Ghost fifth
Blocked Shots-Prov eighth
Goals- Prov 5th
Assists- Ghost 9th

I dont ever remember having different D men in so many categories in the top 10

Morning boys! I'm taking the FLyers tonight over the Rag dolls 3-1. Coots gets the 1st and 3rd goal is my prediction. We score 3rd goal on an empty netter.

Dude you should lay down on your own couch and give yourself an evaluation.

Im sure you must be happy with his offensive output this season. Definitely 25 goals in 43 games was unexpected.
Yup. We all knew he had potential. Now that the staff has given him more opportunity on offense, he is putting out.
