I like Duke this game. Duke has much more experience. They start a junior, senior and RS Sophomore.

Parker is a man-child...could be a star (right fucking now!) in the NBA...will be if he makes it through the season unhurt. A treat to watch the kid play. That being said?...

Go Jayhawks!

Duke will have same trouble in the tourney that they have had in the past: a lack of a true inside presence.

Missed the 2nd half of this game (fell asleep) but watching the replay now on The U. When I saw the final score I had assumed that KU started to run away with it, but it looks like it was a 1 possession game with 2 minutes left. I'm kinda bummed I missed it live.

That being said, I was pretty high on Duke coming into the season. Parker and Hood were two really big additions, and Jay Bilas picked him to win it all, and of all the ESPN talking heads, I respect his opinion the most. That said, the box score confirmed something that I thought might plague the Blue Devils... fouls. With the new emphasis on opening up the offense, I thought K's "handsy" defense might have some problems. 21 fouls on the starting 5? K's gotta get that reined in.

Fouls plagued both teams. I believe that getting used to the new rules will have the same effect on just about every team. Wiggins spent most of the first half watching from the bench. No telling how much more of a difference he would have made though. Perry Ellis scored at will on Duke and gave the Blue Devils a big match up problem the whole game. Duke's lack of hitting free throws (57.7%) sure didn't help. Coach K usually does better at the line than that with every team he's ever coached. But give credit to Coach Self and Kansas. They won because they were just better last night.
