Iowa is always better than average in the front 7 defensively. I highly doubt they're going to get blown off the ball. Their back 4 are what Penn St will have to exploit.

If they can pressure McSorley -- it forces them to string plays together to extend drives. If McSorley has time to make plays downfield, it will be a long day for Iowa.

Iowa's front 7 on defense is pretty good. I wish they would do more, but they step up when they need to. If Iowa played PSU late October or November, I would say they keep Barkley below 100 yards. I expect Barkley to run more than 100 yards. I expect a few big runs from him.

Iowa is pretty good at containing the QB. Iowa doesn't blitz all that much so there is always a spy on the QB. Usually they do a good job reading screen passes.

Iowa's offense hasn't shown up early in a game. Stanley is not a very accurate QB, but he doesn't panic. Wadley got injured vs North Texas but it seemed minor and they kept him out the rest of the game. We lost RB2 Butler for a while though. The backups are true freshman, who looked good vs North Texas. But Wadley is what that offense is revolved around, and hopefully he is 100%.

I just have no clue what to expect in this game . Iowa has handked PSU for the most part the last 15 years but PSU crushed them last year. I really don't see any way this is a blowout unless Iowa turns it over a bunch. My guess is 27-21 type score. If Wadley is healthy he's the best back in this game ( despite the Barkley lovefest ) but PSU has more weapons .

Iowa's offense is boring as hell. Still 3 yds and a cloud of dust. Akin to watching paint dry.
They will put a defense to sleep then hit the TE over the middle wide the fuck open.

Penn St better know this.

Well, considering Iowa has run the same exact offense since 1979, I'm sure there isn't a team on the planet that doesn't know this.

So has Bama since Nick Saban has been there. Most NFL teams going into the playoffs heavily rely on one player. Just because it is predictable doesn't mean they can't be good.

I think if Iowa can contain Barkley, Iowa can win.

He is PSU's top rusher (obviously) and top receiver. That means they don't have a stud WR, so Joshua Jackson could possibly cover him. However, stopping Barkley will be the true test. I think it will be close.

PSU 24
Iowa 20

I wish I could change my vote.

I never said the Hawkeyes aren't good. In case you haven't been paying attention, Iowa's been pretty good since 1979.

PSU has some excellent WRs.
