i'm calling it now: westbrook will NEVER win a ring as "the man" in OKC. he HAS to be the 2nd fiddle to hope to win it all.

I disagree, the issue tonight was he was anything but the man.

Well, yeah, you WOULD disagree, you're biased in that you're a fan of the team, you cant see what the unbiased amongst us can see.

I am nothing if not a realist, I’ve watched every game this year and not once did I see Westbrook play like he did last night. It was like we aren’t winning anyway so they aren’t going to be able to say I tried to do too much. That’s not Russ. This is all on Donovan and Presti, period.

Translation = Westbrook's not winning a ring.

Seriously though, I don't think he needs to accept being 2nd fiddle as much as I think he needs to accept that he can't win titles by himself.

People can say what they want about Kobe ball hogging, etc. But in the couple of seasons between Shaq leaving and Pau coming in, he learned that he couldn't do it by himself and adjusted. He was never 2nd fiddle, but he was a 1st fiddle that learned to involve his teammates.

If Westbrook can learn to do that, he can win a title as the main guy. The question is can/will he?

Bad coaching, bad body language, bad shot selection, no sense of urgency.....

A collection of talent with no chemistry, cohesion does not a championship caliber team make.

Every time Adams left the floor the Thunder went into the toilet.

Maybe he's the real MVP'

I agree to a point. As coach, it's up to Donovan to figure out a way to make it work and to come up with a system that maximizes the talent he has to work with, which in OKC's case, is a lot.

Obviously, Presti put this together and, right now, it looks like he went for "names" over "fit."

Having said that, it's "Westbrook's team" and as such, it's up to him to adjust to fit the other guys in. He doesn't appear to be doing that. So, imo, it falls on him in the sense that he is the common denominator in KD leaving and things looking like they're not working with PG and Melo.

These Jazz uniforms are maybe the worst thing Nike has come up with in a long, long, long time.

And not to stop at the uniform but they change their court too.

As disappointed as Blazer fans are of getting swept in the first round, OKC fans would probably be more disappointed if they didn't get out of the first round. That roster, unlike Portland's was built to do something or at least compete to do something in the post season.

Well, now you see why I wanted GS to avoid Utah in the first round without Steph.

Russ inexplicably passing the ball a lot at the end of the game. Ends up with 1 assist short a triple double. Coincidence?
