Furthest and hardest hit ball of the season for the entire Giants' team.

In year's past, Mac has always been among the Giants' leaderboards in hardest and farthest hit balls, even in his SSS.

That Angel catcher never has any idea how many outs there are. That was at least the second time he threw the strike 3 pitch to 3B on the 3rd Out.

What a night for Austin Jackson - strikeout, double play, RBI single, strikeout, strikeout

Quick thoughts on game...

1) Mac has his worst game of the season.

2) As is typical, the Giants only get 2 walks while issuing 4. Adding to the hacktastic tendencies, these free-swinging amateurs struck out 10 times while the measured patience of the Halos only K’d 6 times.

3) The Giants’ 20M dollar pitcher is only bale to muster 5 innings, and barely got out of that.

He has a bit of a wild bug, but when he is on...

OMG

Future mainstay of FYWW.

A couple of years ago, when Moronta was in San Jose, I thought Rodolfo Martinez was going to be the star. His stuff was electric. But he has had injury issues, and really hasn't done well past the Cal League. Glad to see Moronta step up.

Moronta was overshadowed that season because of Rodolfo, who was throwing 100-102 at the time, but Moronta was right behind him at 98-100, and Moronta's breaking miles ahead at the time too.

So the Giants are in a 3 way tie for second least runs allowed in the NL with the Phillies(!) and Cards at 69 (heh). AZ is first with 60.

Yes it's early but still. Also a few AL teams, DH and all, have given up far less, like 50-52 runs,
