Until they land on campus, it's difficult to get excited. I can only hope that the news gets others to followw suit. :thumb:

Oh no doubt, sounds like both kids had known for awhile they were coming here just waited until today to commit. Both are lower 3 star local kids, they're most likely solid commits

We're still chasing top 2 MN kids, both OL

and a 4star QB from Cali and we're high on the list

Our class is nearly full already

I think they'll need to another OL

While still a lot of 3 star kids, we have a lot more kids with higher P5 offers than under Kill regime. Kill would target kids to fit system and coach them up, which was showing promise, but didn't get chance to fully play out.

not criticism of Kill, just pointing out our strategy has updated and we're doing well

Here is updated list Minnesota 2019 Football Commits

So far only 1 4 star, but I think we might have a few kids who get bumped up as evaluation goes on. We're also recruiting illinois well

Good weekend for gophers

a 4 start DT that had offers from just about everyone and had previously committed to Alabama (he decommitted) then Georgia (he decommitted) and now us.

A JUCO DB that was previously a badger also committed over the weekend

and we're sitting good with few others. Few of our guys got bumped in rankings and we currently rank ~34th in nation depending on source

Will need a few rsJR to graduate and few people to transfer to fit everyone in, but I'm sure coaching staff has a plan

Dominik London, a 2016 recruit will be transferring. He was a RB deep on the depth chart probably with little chance of playing.

That's one spot opened up

I know I'm in the minority, but I still don't like the Fleck hire, so I obviously don't like the extension--though my only surprise about it is that it took so long after the Wisconsin game for it to happen. I snarked to a coworker the week before the Wisconsin game that the U would make a similar mistake to Iowa if they somehow beat Wisconsin and would effectively make Fleck coach for life.

There are a lot of people who don't like Fleck

I don't like all the RTB shit (yes, I'll saw row the boat every now and then) but if kids buy in, that's whats important. Extension is largely irrelevant, we extended brew year before we fired him. It's just to show security for recruiting

It's early signing day, so far so good.

He was getting late recruiting from home teams, both Miami and Fl St were trying to flip his commitment, so nice to see him stay
