My only thinking would be if they would eat some salary or if we offset it by sending Severson or some salary their way. Would also need some stipulation regarding Karlsson resigning, if he didn't we are owed a pick.

the devils do have a ton of cap space and greene will be coming off the books same year as hall. maybe a guy like ryan needs to get the heck out of there and just play in a new situation? the only way i would entertain that move is if EK agreed to an extension before he got dealt here. can't have that hanging over the teams head next year.

hall needs help now and he has some pieces but these guys are kids. your really going to go into next year with zacha anderson mcloed on this roster? nico and bratt? he needs more established players. the defense needs an upgrade and they need another forward. maybe jvr is the guy? neal?

I hope he gets a monster deal from them. Everything I heard from Leafs fans he sounded like Cammalleri 2.0. He's a cherry picker that relies on teammates to create chances and when he's not scoring goals he's not doing anything.

Besides Tavares and JVR, mostly uneventful which I guess was expected. As a fan you want to see something happen but I am also glad they didn't force anything either.

the east is definitely stronger the devils make the playoffs last year by 1 point and that took an mvp year from hall to do it. not sure what they can muster this year if they dont make some moves. i get there isn't anything out there but they have to do something. hall two years away nico bratt butcher all on cheap deals.

Agreed. They need to add some pieces and I do think Shero will make a trade or 2 to make that happen.
Another thing is that some of the younger guys now got some experience. Bratt, Nico, Butcher should get better. Even Miles Wood hopefully steps up more.

Agreed, that our youngsters should get better this year with gained experience from last season, but we definitely need strong D to be added to our lineup.

Well, missing out on John T was a big possibility but adding zero "true" help might hurt us....

I guess we're rolling with the growing youth which isn't bad.

I don't trust Mojo.... will like to find another winger capable of doing some damage when Hall is breathing on the bench lol

Without any movement, this team will lose a step next season. The goal should be to improve.
