Yeah. Should be stickied.

Lea was a good replacement for Elko. Long staying is good. Quinn for Heistabd is a fucking disaster. I think Kelly’s checked out. He can’t get hired away and he isn’t good enough to deliver consistent good seasons let alone national championships.

As not disappointed as I was with this last season I don’t feel at all good about next season.

I won't say it's been a really bad offseason. Losing Elko hurt but he was replaced with a good coach and it sounds like the have a good Safeties coach. I would say the only questionable hire is Quinn as the O-Line coach. To Quinn's credit he has coached two NFL Pro Bowl players in Joe Staley and Jason Kelce so we'll have to see how that goes. The larger loss is the RB depth with losing two to dismissal and one to the NFL. Yes losing Stepherson hurts but they have better depth at WE than RB now and are bringing some good recruits this class.

Not really sure if this counts....but....my connection for ND tickets has retired and is moving back home....BOOO!! I really cannot complain considering I live in RI. I was able to see 3 games in SB and 1 at Fenway. I was able to enjoy the campus and the pre/post game tailgates, and they are something to remember.

I was hoping to be able to get out there when my kids were older, but I will have to wait on that. I plan on hitting up a home game at some point when my family can actually remember and enjoy...no more free housing either..LOL.

So who do you guys think should be our starter QB for this season? Book or Wimbush?

Or should we wait for the Spring game to say an answer...?

I don't know but from what I saw Wimbush can't play AN at the college level.

At this point you prepare them both and go from there. Reading that Wim went back to the basics and did some work to get back to throwing the ball with confidence. That's great, but it's the offseason. I would personally like to see Book get the nod. He deserves to start at this point. Another yr taking all the reps, he'll be much better.

I can somewhat agree... I believe Wimbush will be ready for this season but its definitely a good idea to have Book ready to go.

I want to give Wimbush another chance. He has a ton of talent, and two years of eligibility. I think he has the greatest potential, and would be a key to an explosive offense. If not Wimbush, I might be looking for Jurkovic to be a four year starter.

Nick Watkins to transfer. Anyone hear what the deal is on this one. I think he lost his starting position, but I’m not sure if that was the reason

Pride passed him on depth chart. He still would have played a lot but would have had to shar backup time with Donte Vaughn. I think he wanted to start somewhere else.

Well that sucks but good luck to the Kid CB isn't an issue even with Watkins leaving. Also two picks in the top 10 both O-Linemen. Why would top high school recruits go anywhere else?????

Harry Hiestand leaving for the Bears might be our biggest loss with respect to the O-line. He has definitely made ND a power in developing O linemen. Hope the new guy(Jeff Quinn) is as good.
