Can't help but think that WR is higher on NE list than many of us fans are thinking...some good WR in for visits with the latest being Christian Kirk.

Agree almost 100%, but switch out DE for ILB for me. Both are needs, but I think we can find a DE later on, compared to an Evans who might be there at 23. Then again, BB might go OT at 23...who knows. I think the top 3 on your list def get addressed, but at what point?

1a, DE
1b, LB
2, OL
3a, CB
3b, S
4, QB
5a, TE
5b, WR
6, RB

My idea of order of need, not which pick in which round.
Of course draft the talent not the need.

I'm starting to see Moore's name a lot more these days. Comparing very well to what NE likes. So we got some names towards the back end for LB: Moore, Sam, Jewell, Baker, Cichy. This is why I think NE trades back into the 4th, 5th, 6th rds this yr...in some sort of way, maybe not all those rds.

I would love a WE from Maine.

All in all I like it I might target a TE over two OTs but I like it.

This kid Osumha is 6'3-1/2" 218 lbs. He couldn't get a second look from any school when he graduated from high school. Maine offered him a full scholarship and he started at outside WR as a Freshman. He played in horrific heat and humidity, rain, sleet, and snow. As a Sophomiore nearly every major Dov. 1 school on the East Coast and others were offering him a full ride. This guy has character and morals. He thanked everyone but felt beholden to U of ME and stayed. Of course I'm a Univ. of Maine Alumni (1977).

Go Black Bears. I want to see some footage of this kid, hopefully there is some out there.

A potential steal let at RB would be Josh Adams from ND.

Anyone see the CBS mock draft with the Pats trading 3 firsts to trade up for Darnell at 4? I don't think that would please most of the opinions I've seen on this board. It wouldn't please me.

No way Bill would invest that much capital in a player that wouldn't even take a snap this year.

Also, he's never drafted an underclassman QB. I don't see him trading three premium assets to try it now.

I've had an inkling in the back of my head for awhile that the best value where the Pats are picking in the 1st will be in the interior line spots. Not to mentiona bunch of them come from programs with connections to Bill (Daniels-Ferentz, Price-Meyer, Ragnow-Bielema). After reading Breer's column and Reiss' positional draft preview this morning, I'm not going to be surprised in the least if the Pats take one of those guys tonight.

Just because they come from programs with connections doesn't make them the right picks. Those connections usually pay off in the later rounds when the inside information pays dividends when differentiating players.

Understood. I'm just saying it's a bonus with those three in particular, they could just as easily take Isaiah Wynn or Will Hernandez, too. The larger point is there's a bunch of good interior OL prospects in the back half of the round, and Shaq and Thuney are only 1 and 2 years away from FA. Hell, maybe they'd even think about taking a G and try kicking Thuney back out to LT, who knows. I just won't be shocked if they take one of those guys tonight is all.

I totally agree.
