So when Liangelo ends up in China by 2020, will Lonzo go there too?
Yes, that's what it would take to get it done. If the Spurs were to trade with the Lakers.
They wouldn't do it for 2 of the 3 players and the 1st rounder.
I'm saying I don't want that trade to happen. Although as a Lakers fan you better hope the Spurs are interested in Lonzo & his loudmouth father. Can't imagine many franchises wanna deal w/ that headache though.
I hear you.
I think Lonzo's upside is enough to take a gamble, he had a good season (but clearly he needs to improve his FG shooting and FT shooting) and I think Lonzo will be smart enough to go to his dad and say STFU or you're going to ruin my career.

You really think so? Because he hasn't given any indication that he's got the stones to do that.
If he gets traded after 1 season.....I think he'll start to see the light, especially if the new team bringing him in sits down with him and has a talk with him.
Especially part 2: If it's a smaller market team......and they don't want to deal with that type of distraction.
I just cannot imagine a situation where Pop (a) gives into Kawhi Leonard's demands, (b) wants to deal with LaVarr Ball. Not every small market team is ran the same. But whether a large or small market, no team wants distractions off the court that Lavar provides.
Again, by all intents and purposes, Lavar's got a strangle hold on his boys and determines every move that his kids makes. Hell, he pulled his middle kid that basically has no shot at the NBA from UCLA and may have ruined his future. Most kids would say let me be my own man and that this decision doesn't make sense.

I think Pop would deal Kawhi for a lesser package to show that he and the Spurs cannot be manipulated and held hostage before giving Kawhi what he wants WHILE building a super team to compete against. Pop is how old? Does anyone think he really wants to be around for a lengthy rebuild and create another super team to compete against?
