I remember a guy named Alberts, who pitched two shut outs in his first two games for the Twins. A couple years later, he was pitching in Korea. The league catches up to you. What you do then will decide your fate.

Not even remotely comparable pitchers lol

Guess we gave up on Mejia, he's pitched a couple games with Rochester and hasn't been very good at all...

Dozier has found himself a nice slump. A couple of more games and Morrison will have a higher BA.

Nice win. Maybe the Twins are pulling their heads out of their asses after the Yankees slammed it up there. That's how badly the Yankees are in the Twins head. Smack us around for a few games and it takes us 3 weeks to walk strait again.

But we are to the White Sox what the Yankees are to us. It was good medicine to get a hold of them. Lets start turning this season around.

Unless I'm not remembering correctly, didn't they have a 16 or so inning game last year that they won, and then promptly shat the bed for a few weeks, turning us into sellers?

I'm not gonna say it was the Yankees, so much as that 16 inning game, because we got swept in Tampa b4 NY.

Also - doesn't help that they were coming off all those postponements.

True enough. We lost a couple in TB that we should have won. That could be chalked up to all of the postponements. The Yankees just beat the hell out of us. Then the Reds, the worst team in baseball, took us down to rub it in. That, I chalk up to shell shock from the beating the Bombers put on us. Hopefully we are back now.

But one thing is for certain. We win nothing without going thru NY. We had best get that monkey off our backs the next time we see them. Square things up.

Just FYI- without Castro and Sano, this team is a better team. Someone mentioned it a couple pages back - productive outs. Sometimes manufacturing a run makes all the difference in the world. Those two manufactured nothing when they got outs.

Don't forget to include the trip to Puerto Rico.... seems it took its toll on Cleveland as well.

That aside, stop worrying so much about the Yankees. Shit. Look what they've been doing to everyone. Since April 19 they've gone 17-3.

Toronto 3/4
US 4/4
Angels 3/4
Astros 3/4
Cleveland 3/3
Boston 1/1

Boston had a 9 game lead on them.... and they are now tied.

Honestly I will be happy with a split as long as the two losses aren't like 14 - 2
