Green on for (the currently DL'ed) Tanaka in the 6th.

These suspended games are always weird.

Good lord that was crushed.

ellsbury, perfect time to pull a wally pipp

Im with ya, but he's still banged up.......This lineup is straight garbage, any change is welcome, they are locked into a Wildcard already, may as well try some new things, they aint winning this division

I look forward to Clint Frazier becoming a star somewhere else, when he gets traded for some meddling Sonny Gray like starter

Amazing how they still think they need pitching as this offense continues to get shut down by one nobody after another

Impressive shit from Holder there

Guy on the radio here continues to say that this Bullpen has carried this team and no one has noticed

The more you think about it, the more true it is, how many teams win when leading by a run in the 6th, almost every single time

I really don't get that trade scenario. The Mets would be stupid to trade deGrom and the Yanks would be stupid to trade Torres.

Cashman already said Torres is going nowhere so as @navamind said, it would be stupid from both sides.

Yanks don't even need DeGrom. They more need another #2 type starter to help in October We have our ace.

Having 3 guys who can go out there and throw 7 or 8 innings and only allow 1 or 2 runs is important in October.

Right now we only have 2 of those guys

Jacob Degrom turned 30 today.

Gleyber Torres turned 21 6 months ago.

You would be an absolute retard (which you are) to make that move

Yankees don't have enough offense, Gleyber and Andujar have carried this offense

I just don't see the point in the Mets trading deGrom. I think the Mets are certainly capable of fielding a competitive team in 2019, so why trade one of the best pitchers in the league? It's not like he's going to be a free agent at the end of the season.

3rd in the league in runs and 2nd in wRC+ = "not enough offense"

The Yankees have 7 regulars with an OPS+ of 100 or higher. Even Gary Sanchez's 97 OPS+ is still above average for a catcher. Woe is them.
