I don't think he's a good manager, but I'm not sure you can blame him for this year. I'd say it's been a mix of injuries and the division just being tougher than expected.

I'm not. He was highly touted for a reason. I was furious when you traded for him.

He's a little bit of a goofball, but the talent has always been there.

Sometimes it takes a pitcher years to get their act together. Cliff Lee was a middling pitcher for years before emerging as a CYA winner in 2008. And as VikingFan said, Bauer was pretty highly touted going into the 2011 Draft and throughout the minors.

Really enjoyed watching him in his short time with Detroit. Easy to see why he's been given so many opportunities at the Big League level. A lot of talent in a lot of areas with him.


Was having a very good year. On and off the field. He became an American earlier this summer too.
