Nah. He was on the way out anyhow. Spurs already had promoted Trippier to 1st team at the end of last season. They essentially got $50m for a guy that was no longer on their first squad...pretty shrewd move.

Now, they need to put that money to work and boost their depth.

I'm clinging on to a faint glimmer of hope that this might not be true. Apparently, Barcelona also have a team of people in Germany to talk to Dortmund about signing Ousmane Dembele but Dortmund are holding out for $150 million. Who knows?

Supposedly Liverpool haven't received any additional offers and say he still isn't for sale. Be interesting to see if Coutinho recovers from his "back injury" in time to play on Saturday.

I'm still clinging to hope that Spurs will actually sign someone of note this transfer window...but considering L-Pool may be losing Coutinho and Arsenal might lose Alexis, I'll be content to just keep everyone i suppose.
