Hate to say it, but my gut says either Hamels or Choo. Either choo will spend way too much time on the DL again, or Hamels will have a decent year, but nothing close to a TORP year.

End Result: Lose wild card game in Toronto 2-1. Darvish throws a gem. Beltre air mails a throw in the 8th inning on a would be double play ball. Both runners come around to score. Roogie goes deep off Estrada, but it's not enough to win.

Place: 3rd
End Result: no postseason this year

Team ROY: This is the hardest one because no rookies are supposed to have much of a chance at playing this year. It will probably be an injury to a starting pitcher or two or an injury to Lucroy or a trade of Lucroy that opens up enough playing time for a rookie to get this designation. I think it is between Mendez, Nicholas and Trevino. I will go with Yohander Mendez.

This is exactly my thoughts.

IMO Gallo needs to get consistent playing time at AAA with no yanking up & down from the big club

Going against thoughts here. Let Gallo start esp against RHP. Profar opens in LF against Kluber. DL is shorter this year so Gallo will be sent down baring further injury and/or Gallo gets hot.

Gonna be a real challenge for Banny to let DDJ, Profar and Rua consistent playing time. Bet a lot of pinch hit situations happen

I'm a little down on the Rangers this season. I think there will be a reversion to the mean with their 1-run game winning ratio this year. I'm really concerned about the back end of the rotation, bullpen getting overworked, and the lineup's general inability to produce consistently.

I wouldn't be shocked if it was a .500 season...then again, I wouldn't be shocked if they pulled 90+ wins again either.
