Or just put Hornaday in like they did. Not a big deal at all.

Yeah, let's put some lifetime minor leaguers in the MLB HOF while we're handing out ribbons too.

Trying to compare a team sport with 150 years of history to an individual sport with 70 years of history. On your bike.

Please, junior. Auto racing has been around for a 100+ years and that has nothing to do with enshrining minor league/2nd tier players in the big boy HOF.

I'd be a supporter of a lower level NASCAR HOF. A good friend of mine would be an easy inductee with his his 97 feature wins, 5 track championships and 7 track championship runner-up trophies in late model/super stock divisions.

Are they racing horses in NASCAR now? Hornaday is a career minor leaguer for a reason. Do I have to explain this reason to you?

On your bike.

BTW, why not 2nd tier NASCAR HOF? We could put it in a 2nd rate city, like Atlanta and call it the loser's bracket or sumpin :noidea:

If you're going to kick Hornaday out for not being a Cup driver, then you've got to kick out just about anyone who didn't have a successful Cup driving career. That's why it's the Nascar HOF and not the Cup HOF.

My hatred for the city of Atlanta and all big cities is pretty well documented.

But Hornaday is the best Truck series driver of all time, that alone shouldn't get him into the Hall though if it did, it's not a big enough deal to get my jimmies rustled about, but his influence and accommodation of young, up and coming drivers that weren't born with silver spoons in their mouths should get him in. A great ambassador for the sport.

If you remove drivers that didn't have a successful Cup career, you're removing inducted drivers like: Richie Evans, Jack Ingram, Wendell Scott, Jerry Cook, and Richard Childress (yes I know he's really in because of his ownership, but he was a long-time unsuccessful driver first) just to name a few.

Exactly. Nascar stretches far and wide. To want to limit it to just successful Cup drivers is dumb.

What a terrible job by dale junior there. Having a solid top 10 run and he is speeding on pit road with 2 to go. Will restart 17th. That is awful

Dale Junior luckly still got a solid finish. 11th place. And that speeding penalty probably helped him in the long run. He is likely in that wreck without the speeding penalty

No way should the race have went green. Track was clearly not ready with all the speedy dry still on the back stretch.
Oh well, BOOM, CONFETTI!!!!
