Looks like the 2017 journey will take us through the NFCN & AFCS next year. The AFCS was one of the weakest divisions in the league this year. Who knows how they will do next season. But thankfully the road games look much more manageable than seasons past, and the furthest they have to travel is Houston (unless Oakland finds a way to win next week). At a quick glance it looks like they drew all the tougher opponents as home games (NE, GB, MIN, TEN). Another favorable schedule, at least on paper at this point.

Looking at this, it is a pretty easy schedule....
But we seem to do our shittiest with easy schedules!!!

Sounds about right for the #1 seed. Just glad the Stillers keep getting the Pats at Heinz... Gives them a fighting chance!

I think the possible playoff opponents are about as good as the Patriots can hope for. It looks we'll only face one of either KC or the Steelers for the AFC championship. In Foxboro. Unless the Dolphins or Houston upset but I don't think that's going to happen.

Oakland is a mess right now, unfortunately for them.

In the 2017 regular season, the Black-and-Gold will face a combined 115-139-2 record, with their opponents posting a dismal 0.453 winning percentage. This is tied for fifth-easiest SOS in 2017.

That SOS number is sort of misleading though... Having to play the Browns twice in 1 season skews it

Take away those tilts with the Browns (combined 2-30 record) and you get opponents’ record of 113-109-2, which amounts to the SOS of .509 – right in the middle of the pack.
