Still holding out hope for a top 4 defenseman. Our forwards look good on paper. Just playing around real quick:

Hall-Nico-Palmieri
Mojo-Zajac-Henrique
Wood-Zacha-Speers

No idea what center goes where but that's a good looking top 9 with Boyle anchoring the 4th.

thats a really nice lineup. i'm assuming since blendisi isn't available to go to the ahl this season he will be on the 4th line with boyle and my guess john q? henrique i really want to keep. my hope is that kovy returns ryan murrary from the jackets. i know hes been a "bust" being the #2 overall but still hes worth a chance here imo.

Present day Nico, that line is a bit small, hopefully they won't get too roughed up.... but Hall is a big guy and few more more years Nico will fill out then thats a money maker.

Radulov apparently signing with Stars, could get the ball rolling on the Kovy front.

I wonder if there's still a chance Kerfoot signs with us. Provides more depth in case we shipped someone out, although that's wishful thinking.

just on twitter. its mostly probably garbage but i just type in kovalchuk in the search and then read all the rumors and stuff. some guy slava a beat writer in the khl was rumoring the hawks interest. then i just read that kovy was in columbus today

Crazier things have happened but Chicago does not make much sense. Cap strapped and don't think they have much in terms of defense to give up.

I would think a team like Nashville would be into him. They lost Neal and kovy is a power forward and they can always use goal scoring.

They also just traded for a defenseman with Vegas so plenty of depth on the blue line. Although they got burned by Radulov so they may have a bias against Russians.

Yeah he's staying in Russia. I would love to know what rays demands are for a trade. I'm glad he stuck to his guns.

Not really surprised about Kovy. The decision to not jump the gun on Saturday made me think he was going to stay in Russia all along.

Another great trade by Shero. Total steal. Gotta love he was all over the Washington gm once those extensions were being made public. They could have done a lot better than a 2nd & 3rd if they were patient.

Yeah if You think shero did great in all trades then you have to think he did the right thing here. I still think we will be better then last year. It all depends about Cory he has to rebound

I dont see any big moves to go left in this summer so the next step is for Cory to return to elite status... lets go!

I could potentially see a trade for defense. Could come closer to the season with teams making last minute adjustments/getting their cap in order.

Otherwise, yeah, Cory needs a bounce back and need to cross our fingers that Santini, Severson and Mueller can take some big steps.
