So with the latest trade involving Lakers pick for next year. Is it down to no matter what Lakers aren't keeping pick no matter where it falls?

As far as the Lakers are concerned, it's unprotected and will end up with Philly or Boston no matter what.

That trade has no effect on the Lakers unless magic was in love with fultz.

We lost all rights to that 2018 pick when we got at top 3 pick for this.

Since we landed in the top 3 this year, we kept out 2017 pick and our 2019 pick (which was going to the Magic but is now a couple of 2nd rounders). Had we landed outside the Top 3 this year, we would have lost both those picks but kept the 2018 pick.

Simple explanation, the 2018 pick isn't ours no matter what

Like I said in a thread yesterday, all the more reason for LA to win 30+ games next year. Can't hit that projected range if the team ends up in the lower half of the lottery or *whispers* playoffs.

Considering that you have to wonder if that plays into a potential deal for Paul George if it's a fair deal. Since another lottery bound season doesn't do the lakers any favors. Just adding alonzo ball or another draftee I'm not so sure that improves off of last season all that much. I get the feeling pacers are going to make a panic deal soon.

Good to see FA's wanting to play for the Lakers again.

Thank God Jimmy Buss is out and Magic and Jeanine are running the show!

I like the Russell/Mozgov trade. Clears up the 2 spot for PG-13 and dumps Mozgov's albatross contract meaning they now can fit him in under the cap.

Yep, me too TJF12. I think Magic should hold on the trade crazies for PG13 and take the picks he has and continue to add talent. Since next year's number one is pretty much spoken for, the time to add more talent is obviously now with three number ones and a second this year.

As long as it's not the #2 or Ingram, I have no problem with trading for PG-13 now. I don't think the Lakers are in position to be able to risk him being traded to a contender and deciding he wants to stay.

Nick Young opted out and will become a free agent.

Good fucking riddance
While he played much better defense under Luke, he was a tireless goof, the perpetual clown. I do believe there is a place and time to be loose and carefree, however there are far more times that sort of attitude just had a bad look when the team continually struggled to get better.
