They'll offer other engines....maybe even a small diesel.

I called a dealer in North Carolina about a 2010 Sport Trac because my quarter million mile Explorer is beginning to show some wear and after 18 years I am REALLY ready for something different.

Long story short, he asked if I could hold out a few more months because he said Ford dealers have been autherized to start taking orders "Before Fall" and deliveries would begin "Before Winter".
His words in italics.

Couldn't wait.

Bought a Ruby Red SHO with the Performance Package last week.

Still have the Explorer though...

It's a nice little pickup but where they fvked up is they don't offer the 3.5L 6 cyl. as an option along with a 6" longer bed as another option.

I can see why they don't have the longer bed for the Ranger, with them making the ranger a little bigger from before they discontinued, a longer bed puts you close enough to the F150 to not be all that different.

I am excited to buy one of these

The bed looks to be maybe 4' long if that which make it as useful as tits on a nun. Allowing the option for a 6" longer bed and a 6 banger so you don't have to deal with a turbo would make sense imo.

Lightning Blue, FX4, Lariat, Supercrew.

If they don't build a Raptor.
