1) Rubber weighs less than metal.

Aluminum doesn't weigh as much as rubber. The larger the rim, the less rubber needed. So in point of fact, the guy you responded to was correct. Sadly that means you were wrong. Try harder next time....

So, I was right on points 2, 3 and 4.

Sadly...

Aluminum = 1.56 ounce per cubic inch.
How Much Does a Cubic Inch of Aluminum Weigh?

Rubber = .88 ounce per cubic inch.
Rubber, manufactured density

Try the fuck again.
Much fucking harder.

Please don't be the Bayou Dumbass...you are much better than that.

Ford Ranger Wildtrak spied alongside Ranger Raptor
wildtrak-027-1.jpg

Like the diesel, though, we also wouldn't rule out Ford offering some sort of Wildtrak-style trim in the U.S. It would provide a nice stepping stone between basic Rangers and the ridiculous Raptor. It would also be a good competitor to other mid-level off-road trucks such as the Chevy Colorado Z71 and the Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Only time will tell at this point.

One Minute News: The U.S.-Spec Ford Ranger Won't Be Offered In Single-Cab Form @ Top Speed

You can order it without a bed, though, so there’s that
by Robert Moore, on April 25, 2018, 10:00

When Ford showed off the new Ranger, it showed nothing but potential in terms of utility and everyday usefulness. It had damn near everyone wondering if Ford would go back to its roots and offer the new Ranger as a single-cab, two-door model with a longer bed. The hope was there, but according to a 2019 model year VIN document sent to the NHTSA, the Ranger will only offer four doors in either supercab or supercrew body styles. Both supercab and supercrew models will be available with rear- or all-wheel drive, but supercab models options with “bed delete” will only be offered with rear-wheel drive. That’s right; you’ll be able to turn the new ranger into a flatbed. As expected, the only engine on offer is a 2.3-liter four-banger paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

That is completely and totally fucked up.
Good Job Ford

Man, I've been wanting a new Ranger to be released for SO LONG. 2016 was supposed to be the year, but never saw it for sale. Now I'm seeing it will be out for 2017, and the pictures make me sad.

I guess the designers said "Hey, everyone thinks the Ridgeline looks like shit, let's copy it" :L

Base model to start around $20k MSRP

At least they hit it OUT OF THE FREAKING PARK with the Bronco

They even got the rear rocker panels correct for offroading. Base to begin around $29k. I'm thinking the demand will be so high that you won't find a 2017 model on the lot for less than $35k for a stripped down model. I want one. Want one really bad.
I like the Bronco - but that other atrocity should be destroyed and the owner who created it should be shot

omg...this doesn't come out until 2020?!

someone talk me out of buying a F150 now, please...
I think I will just keep my 2004 Ford Ranger - Body is in perfect shape - I can put a new engine in it and keep it rolling another five years
