Sadly, I'll be busy the weekend they play in Asbury Park. Rancid/Dropkick Murphys/Bouncing Souls will also be playing.

At least I'll get to see Converge in Brooklyn on August 4. I also have a ticket for Descendents/The Ergs! in December (Starland Ballroom).

Was at the Rough Trade in Brooklyn last month to see Mary Timony. She was pretty great.


Also was at Punk Rock Bowling a few days after. Saw NOFX, Lifetime, Leftover Crack and The Buzzcocks.

On a spur of the moment invite over the weekend, I saw Garbage & Blondie....w/ John Doe & Exene Cervenka opening at a winery in Saratoga (Santa Clara County)...about an hour south of SF.

Damn good show....Shirley Manson & Co. were awesome.
Debbie Harry is in her 70's but she still has the look and the voice.
John & Exene rocked.

Nah man I'm actually closer than Boise, just about 2 hours away. Still, with work schedule and sech I can't make it. Was kinda hoping they might come here..................not gonna happen though. Last year we had some pretty decent shows here (I only went to Boston though) and the word was we were going to start getting better shows, but somehow the dipshits that are running our new "Wellness" center have figured out a way to lose money while charging $10 a beer (and fuck me if those beer lines weren't 25 peeps deep).

Maiden was awesome. Both bands are crazy af. It was hotter than fuck...Ghosts outfits had to be roasting, and Bruce comes out in a black hoodie and runs around like a mad man for an hour in it.

Gonna see Eric Burdon & the Animals with the Stone Foxes as their opener doing a free Summer of Love concert this coming Sunday at a local park (Stern Grove) in a beautiful sunken amphitheater surrounded by giant redwoods & pine trees.
