So far I got Iron Maiden lined up, and going to see Mastodon and Eagles of Death Metal as well.



I love concert season.

Not to mention the many outdoor weekend music fests that roll through in and around the bay area.

Might not get another chance bruh..dey getting old. Yer in Boise right? That ain't that far!? I skipped em' in 2010-11, cuz I didn't really care for The Final Frontier, and just couldn't get to em on previous tours, for whatever reasons. The last real shot I had at seeing em, was in the late 90's when they were gaying up the joint with Blaze on lead vocals..(2 albums I pretend don't exist cuz they suck so hard) So I didn't have any desire to go to those shitty tours. Then Bruce got tongue cancer, and I thought I'd missed my chance, but he's back and as good as ever from what I'm hearing. Their setlist looks pretty legit, so my ass is going, even if I have to travel.

I'm trying to convince myself to pull the trigger on Mastodon and EODM.

I dig Mastodon, but saw em a few years back with Clutch, and Clutch blew them off the stage. They were WAAYYYY better live. Mastodon had their shit up so fucking loud, you couldn't hear shit, even with earplugs, just muffled reverbed out noise for the most part. I kinda chalked it up to it being in a shitty venue, (venue is a dump) but the fact remains that Clutch sounded amazing in the same venue, so....

I hate passing em' up, as we don't get much rolling thru here that's worth a shit, but I dunno...

Crystal Fairy is the Melvins' new side project, ftr. They are awesome. Can't wait for their album to come out.

Im totally upset that Im going to miss a perfect circle here in STL the tickets were sold out within an hour. On the plus side Metallica is suppose to be coming to town. If they stay away from the newer stuff it might be worth the probably high ticket price.

As far as I can tell it looks like it's just west coast & east coast in june & july....not sure if the midwest is part of the tour, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

They're gonna release more info & dates soon...

Nah man I'm actually closer than Boise, just about 2 hours away. Still, with work schedule and sech I can't make it. Was kinda hoping they might come here..................not gonna happen though. Last year we had some pretty decent shows here (I only went to Boston though) and the word was we were going to start getting better shows, but somehow the dipshits that are running our new "Wellness" center have figured out a way to lose money while charging $10 a beer (and fuck me if those beer lines weren't 25 peeps deep).
