Browning absolutely destroyed high school football setting all sorts of all-time QB records. And since coming to college he has continued right where he left off from the prior level. He's not a product of that offense. Honestly that sounds like someone that hasn't watched much film and goes by what they heard/read somewhere. He's not the size you want for a pro QB, but his accuracy and decision making are insanely good at this level.

If Darnold keeps winning, little Palmer addresses the hiccup in the throwing motion and he keeps getting better there is no reason why he shouldn't be a first round pick....

I just don't think it's next year's draft..

This is the highest that Lamar Jackson has been on any QB list going into 2017. LOL

It will be Mayfield at #1 by the end of the season.

I didn't say that. I just said right now if he came out I think he'd be the first QB taken.
Will he come out? I'd say there's a better chance he does but so many things to consider that have to happen for him to make his decision.

If he stays it will probably be just because he wants to. He know's he's going to play in the NFL I just don't think he's all that concerned about being the #1 pick or QB taken. The kids from San Clemente , you're not in a rush to leave that life.

I can't see him staying for his junior and senior years, especially if he tears it up this season (and he will). He has all the tools, everything you look for in a NFL QB. Bottom line is he's a fucking baller. I think he comes out and is the first off the board. If it's Darnold versus the QB field in the 2018 draft, I'll take Darnold all day long.

This is going to be an awesome QB draft, way better than this year's. Some bad ass dudes, a lot of west coast studs.

Me thinks Stidham may surprise lots of folks...depending on the offensive coordinator. From what I've heard via Stephenville folks, he's matured quite a bit during his time away from football.

He's a very good QB. Auburn may surprise some people. Their lack of a QB has been killing them.

Yep and surround him with Auburn level talent and he may look even better. The only position that may not be as good at Auburn as what he had at Baylor would be wide receiver. Baylor was loaded with WRs the year he played. Not so much anymore.

He definitely is. The only guy who could make a case to challenge him is Darnold, the guy who should be taken #1 in the draft.

Allen is good but he also threw 15 picks while playing against MWC competition. I agree that things change often when the next highly regarded guy is going into his final season as the "sure fire #1 QB," but damn if this Darnold kid doesn't look like the real deal. I mean the accuracy, the timing, the poise, the athleticism. On and on. He looks so good. What a stud that dude is.

To be fair to him, I'm pretty sure like 5 of those picks were against Nebraska, several of which came at the very end of the game when things really fell apart for them.

Barkley is a prime example but this Darnold kid is something special imo. He's tough as fvking nails, he has an arm, and he can extend a play. It's tough to pick a hole in that kid.

Dead on. Next year has a bunch of legit QB prospects. Just in the West you have Darnold, Rose , and Allen. They may all go top 5. I would not rule out Washington QB getting top 10 hype with a big year. Then you have Rudolph. Stidham has all the tools to get drafted with a big year. There will be at least 1 guy that comes out of nowhere to be a 1st round pick. I like Darnold, but the field is the smart bet as the 1st QB taken.

Mayfield isn't going to be an early pick. Great college QB, but he doesn't have the NFL measureables. He isn't the best NFL QB prospect playing in the state of Oklahoma
